Research Interests
  • Numerical modeling, Paleoclimate simulations with the Community Earth System Model (CESM1)
  • Magnitude and timescales of climate transitions since the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM; ~21.000 BP)
  • Statistical upscaling, multi-variate atmospheric field reconstruction (HiResAFF)
  • Wind and storm statistics over Northern Europe since 1850
  • Co-author of regional climate assessment reports on topics of surface pressure, wind regimes, storminess and data homogeneity:
"Climate change during the last 200 years - Surface Pressure and Wind", BALTEX Assessment of Climate Change for the Baltic Sea Basin (BACC)
"Past and current changes in the atmosphere", North Sea Region Climate Change Assessment (NOSCCA)

Project: Imprint of global climate transitions on Swedish climate
  • Magnitude, timescales and spatial patterns of rapid climate shifts over Europe and Scandinavia
  • Comparison of Earth system modeling with geological proxy data, i.e. Younger Dryas, Bølling-Allerød
  • Proxy data analysis in cooperation with the Department of Geological Sciences at Stockholm University
  • This project is funded by the Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company (SKB)
